MINISTRIES

Below we have a list of the ministries we offer here at First Baptist Church Sylvester.  We believe that engaging in fellowship is a very important tool when growing to be more like Jesus. The encouragment of others is a powerful thing.

Sunday School

We offer Sunday School classes for all ages from young children to senior adults. Join us as we study God's Word and grow closer to each other through fellowship.  Our Sunday School hour begins at 9:45 a.m. each Sunday morning and we would love for you to come.

Baptist Men's Ministry

Our Baptist Men's Ministry is open to men of all ages.  We meet the third Thursday of each month in the Fellowship Hall.  Our ministry does various mission projects throughout the year.  Come join with us and find your place of service.

WMU

Women on Mission is our ladies group involved in the mission work of our church. There are multiple mission projects that are sponsored by the WMU. We invite you to come and join us and get involved in the mission work Christ has set before us.

Senior Adult Ministry

Adult ministry is a chance for a group of adults to come together and join in fellowship with one another.  We meet the third Tuesday of each month in the Fellowship Hall. A devotional program is presented as well as a meal.  We look forward to having you with us!

Sanctuary Choir

Sanctuary Choir is our adult choir group.  We are always looking for people who love to worship God through the gift of music.  We welcome you to come and give us a try. Wednesday practice is at 7:30 p.m. in the choir room.

Children's Ministry

We love children and offer many opportunites for them to learn more about Jesus.  We have children's choirs, handbells, Mission Friends, TeamKids, Summer Children's Musical, summer camps  and of course Vacation Bible School. We would love for you to bring your children to participate in these awesome activities.

FBC Preschool

FBC Preschool is open to 2 and 3 year old children. Classes are five days a week.  Registration is now open. Click below for the printable Registration Form.

Youth Ministry

Our Youth Ministry is open to all youth from 7th - 12th grades. We focus on Bible Study and a variety of mission projects. Sunday School starts at 9:45 each Sunday and Bible Study on Wednesday nights at 6:30. Make your plans to join us!

Come and join us for Youth! Our program is open to all 7 - 12th graders.  We have many opportunities available to you.  We offer Sunday School, youth guitar and a variety of youth mission projects. We give you the opportunity to fellowship in a safe environment and learn about Jesus.  Discover with us as we follow the leadership He sets before us all! We are On Mission For Jesus!

Our children are important to us! Come and join us for Sunday School on Sundays at 9:45 a.m.  We have programs on Wednesday nights at 6:30 p.m that include Mission Friends, TeamKids as well as Children's Choirs. Our goal is to offer a safe place for our children to learn about Jesus.  We love children!
